Beach Babes

This morning the boys got up at 6:45 to be at the golf course by 8:15. They played at Hilton Head National. Edan was the first one up in the house and luckily our bedroom is the only one downstairs so he didn't wake anyone else up. We ate breakfast and then Edan took a fairly early nap so we could hurry up and get to the water! While Edan was napping, I slathered the older two in sunscreen and got them beach ready. It was almost like Christmas, Eli and Emma kept asking me, "When can we go, mommy?" Finally Edan woke up and we were all ready! Our house is about 1 mile from the beach, so we have the option to take a trolley and that is what we did since the boys weren't here to help us. Edan absolutely LOVED the sand and the water. He was a WILD man, he crawled all over the place! I put him on the shoreline and he kept crawling toward the water, even when the waves crashed on him, he kept going for more! He thought the sand was a nice snack also, it didn't seem to bother him at all.

After a few hours, the sunscreen was rubbing off and it was time to go in for lunch. The boys got in from playing golf and while Edan was taking his 2nd nap of the day, Bradley and Jim offered to stay so Brent and I could go back with Eli and Emma. It was Bradley and Laura's night to cook and they made BBQ Spaghetti and slaw. It was so yummy! After all the pasta, we took a much needed bike ride.
